Like the international movements of the same period, Palm Springs modernism is rooted in a desire for decompartmentalization and openness, simplicity and minimalism. But in this land of rock and heat, where light is everywhere, the architects created a more organic movement, letting the landscape intrude into the internal volumes and opening up the buildings to the surrounding relief.I love walking around Palm Springs at any time of day, as there’s always a beautiful composition to photograph.
